Pictured: Prototype Printable, Scrap Paper versions, and quarter for size.

This printable is for use as is or to up cycle some scrap paper or card stock. (Card stock paper is the sturdier choice.)

If you don't have a color printer no problem! The pages will still print good and you can spice up the printable with those scrap papers you have laying around that are already in color! The as is printable cover is the green option (prototype pictured, spine has been corrected), as well as a a label and a spare to use on the book if desired.

Supplies

- Printable

- Glue

- Scissors

- (Optional) Scrap card stock or used mail envelopes.

Instructions

  1. Print and cut out your pages, cover or template, and labels as needed.
  2. (Optional step) Adding the spine to a paper scrap cover. Using the cover template glue the template to your scrap piece and cut it out. With a see through ruler and a marker/sharpie of your choice, measure in 1 1/8 (1.125) from the edge on one side. Mark with your marker/sharpie, repeat on the other side. Then carefully fill in your lines to make the solid black stripe.
  3. Starting from the paper strip with the blank page on the left fold on the page lines and glue, continuing to glue the middle strip with no blank pages, and finishing with the strip with the blank page on the right.
  4. Fold your cover in the center for a placement mark. Starting from the center glue your pages into place and blank pages to the inside of the cover. NOTE: There will be hang over on the cover. I gave extra margin for errors! Simply cut it off when the glue is done drying.
  5. (Optional Step) You can use a nail file or a pair of scissors to round off the edge of your book as well as using the label to glue onto the center front cover.
